Job summary

Mission Produce is seeking an HR Business Partner (HRBP) to serve as a trusted advisor to site-level leadership. You will align HR strategies with business goals, support workforce planning, and handle employee relations with discretion.

The role requires 5+ years of HR experience, bilingual Spanish/English, and strong knowledge of employment laws. You will collaborate cross-functionally to drive engagement, compliance, and organizational development across a diverse workforce.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of progressive HR experience in a partner/generalist role.
• Experience supporting hourly, non-exempt, shift-based and experienced operational populations.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws; California employment law experience strongly preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is required.
• Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and decision‑making skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted HR partner to site-level leadership, providing practical guidance and supporting workforce stability and compliance.
• Partner with leaders to translate business goals into HR strategies and workforce plans.
• Coach managers on performance management, conflict resolution, and employee engagement.
• Investigate complex employee relations matters, assess risk, and recommend corrective actions with confidentiality.
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment regulations and policy consistency.
