Job summary

Stoke Space is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to help drive people strategy across our Nova team as we build a rapidly reusable rocket. You will work across the full employee lifecycle from planning to performance, coaching, and org development.

This hands-on role requires balancing strategic direction with practical execution, partnering with leaders on compensation, talent planning, and organizational changes while upholding Stoke values and ITAR compliance.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of HR experience in fast-paced environments and a related degree.
• Ability to navigate ambiguous situations with sound judgement.
• Strategic initiatives to execution: from design to action.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Positive, can-do attitude and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted advisor to leaders on people, talent, and org matters and translate priorities into people strategies.
• Guide leadership effectiveness, development, performance, and employee relations across the org.
• Manage complex employee relations with empathy, judgment, integrity, and discretion.
• Partner on performance management, promotions, and talent development cycles.
• Coach leaders on team dynamics and effective management styles.
• Collaborate on organizational design, headcount planning, and changes.
• Support Total Rewards on compensation decisions and leveling philosophy.
• Use people data to identify trends and improve org effectiveness.
• Build scalable HR programs with Recruiting and other functions.
• Foster trust and accountability through responsive, practical support.
