Job summary

Stoke Space is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to drive people strategy across our rapidly growing team working on Nova, our fully reusable rocket. You will advise leaders, manage employee relations, and help design organizational capability during scale.

This hands-on role blends strategic thinking with practical execution in a high-velocity environment. You’ll partner on performance management, workforce planning, and compensation while upholding Stoke’s values

Qualifications

• 6+ years of progressive HR experience in fast-paced environments with a degree in HR, business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Problem-solving skills and ability to use judgement when navigating ambiguous situations
• Ability to transition seamlessly from developing and implementing strategic initiatives through to executing tactical activities
• Superior written and verbal communication acumen, including strong listening skills
• Strong systems experience, including MS Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), HR Information Systems, Applicant Tracking Systems, Slack, Confluence, etc.
• A positive, can-do attitude and a desire to be part of a fun, dynamic team

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders on people, talent, and organizational matters and translate priorities into effective people strategies
• Provide guidance on leadership effectiveness, employee development, performance management, and difficult employee situations
• Manage complex employee relations matters with empathy, sound judgment, and discretion
• Partner with leaders on performance management cycles, goal setting, and talent development
• Coach leaders on team dynamics and management style under pressure
• Work with leaders on organizational design, headcount planning, and changes
• Collaborate on compensation decisions and leveling philosophy with Total Rewards
• Leverage feedback and data to improve organizational effectiveness and employee experience
• Collaborate across HR, Recruiting, and other functions to implement scalable HR programs
• Build credibility with employees and managers through responsive, solution-oriented support
• Demonstrate Stoke values and integrity in all actions
