Job summary

ASU in Tempe seeks an HR Services Specialist Sr. to perform HR actions including recruitment, onboarding/off-boarding, leaves management, and visa processes. This position works with the SESE HR team and serves as a backup for related duties.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree and five years of experience, or equivalent; proficiency with Workday and Interfolio, strong communication, and the ability to handle confidential information in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR any equivalent combination of experience/training providing comparable knowledge, skills and abilities.
• Experience with ASU systems such as Workday, Interfolio, and Analytics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff and handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Courtesy affiliate process management and renewal tasks as needed.
• Oversee volunteer and student worker processes and renewals.
• Advise on FMLA/parental leave processes and assist with ASU procedures.
• Monitor ACA compliance and verify hours/FTE totals.
• Process payroll-related tasks as a backup to the Department Time Administrator.
• Onboard/off-board staff and support grad/faculty renewals.
• Coordinate with ASU central departments as required.
• Stay updated on ASU policies and relevant laws.
