Job summary

City of Lynwood is seeking an analytical, proactive Human Resources & Risk Analyst to safeguard organizational integrity, manage risk, and support our growing workforce. This role partners with the HR Director and a four-person HR team to strengthen workforce systems.

Based in Lynwood, the position is on-site, with a 4/10 work schedule and a focus on recruitment, classification, compensation, and employee relations.

Qualifications

• Experience in recruitment planning and execution, evaluating skill needs and responding to inquiries.
• Knowledge of position classification studies, compensation analyses, and salary structuring.
• Understanding of labor relations, MOUs, and personnel rules and regulations.
• Ability to interpret policies and communicate them to management and staff.

Responsibilities

• Meet with department representatives to evaluate job skills and recruitment needs; plan and implement recruitment strategies.
• Conduct position classification studies; prepare job analyses and class specifications; recommend salary ranges.
• Assist in administering labor relations processes, interpret MOUs, and support contract interpretations.
• Explain policies to management, staff, and the public; analyze legislation impacts on HR programs.
