The City of Lynwood is seeking a strategic, analytical, and service-driven Human Resources & Risk Analyst to help strengthen the City’s workforce systems and protect organizational integrity. Reporting to the HR Director, the Human Resources & Risk Analyst joins a collaborative four‑member HR team supporting approximately 150 full‑time employees across multiple departments. This structure provides meaningful exposure to executive‑level decision‑making while allowing for hands‑on impact.

This position is a benefited, management, full‑time, confidential, exempt position, working on‑site, operating on a regular 4/10 schedule (7:00 AM to 6:00 PM).
Under general supervision and direction from the Senior HR Analyst and Director of Human Resources, performs a variety of entry to journey‑level professional and analytical activities in support of the City’s Human Resource and Risk Management programs; may provide lead supervision for clerical staff; and performs related duties as assigned.
Human Resources Analyst is the entry to journey‑level class in the professional human resource management series. Initially, incumbents perform professional assignments in one or more Human Resource and Risk programs areas while learning City policies and procedures and specific techniques and legal requirements related to the City’s Human Resource Management and Risk Management programs. As experience is gained, duties are performed with a significant degree of independence under general supervision. Incumbents are expected to carry out their responsibilities with initiative and creativity, exercising sound professional judgment and problem‑solving skills.
