Job summary

The Pretrial Services Agency in Washington, DC seeks a Human Resources Specialist (Rec/Staff/Class) to lead recruitment, staffing and classification activities. You will manage the full range of DE/Merit Promotion processes, advise management on Certificates of Eligibles, and ensure accurate processing of personnel actions.

The role requires DE certification, strong knowledge of HR systems (USA Staffing, NFC, PMSO, EPIC) and the ability to provide expert guidance on recruitment, staffing

Qualifications

• Requires Delegated Examining Certification (DE) from OPM, with certificate to include in application materials.
• Specialized experience at GS-12/GS-13 level includes staffing, recruitment, and processing personnel actions.
• Proficiency with HR systems (USA Staffing, NFC, PMSO, EPIC) to gather data and advise management.

Responsibilities

• Perform and manage full-range recruitment tasks under DE/ Merit Promotion authorities.
• Provide technical advice in recruitment, staffing, pay entitlements, and related areas.
• Process and verify personnel actions: promotions, reassignments, transfers, adverse actions, awards, resignations.
• Perform position classification and advise on position management and classification issues.
