Qualifications

• Master's degree in Public/Business Administration, a field related to assigned operation, or equivalent technical experience and certification.
• Five years of progressively responsible experience in area of assignment.
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.

Responsibilities

• Conducts operational research, productivity analyses and management studies to assist in the management of departmental operations.
• Performs financial reviews and analyses for the department; compiles and evaluates operational data and cost histories.
• Coordinates special projects for the department, including planning, design, implementation, and evaluation.
• Plans, implements, and administers new programs and/or major initiatives on behalf of County operations; develops and manages program budget.
• Oversees professional contractors and/or consultants providing services for projects; monitors contractor performance.
• Assists department managers with strategic and long-range planning; monitors pending legislation and compliance.
