Job summary

Isaacs & Isaacs PSC is seeking an experienced HR & Payroll Administrator to support day-to-day HR operations and multi-state payroll processing. This full-time, in-office role is based in Louisville, KY and reports to the Human Resources Director.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of combined HR and payroll experience, Paylocity expertise, and a strong grasp of HR compliance, confidentiality, and employee relations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Minimum 3+ years of combined Human Resources and payroll experience.
• Hands-on experience processing multi-state payroll required.
• Paylocity experience required.
• Law firm or professional services experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of multi-state payroll, payroll tax laws, FLSA, FMLA/LOA processes, and HR compliance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, as well as data entry and standard office equipment.
• Strong customer service, problem-solving, and follow-up skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organization, planning, prioritization, and time-management skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with employees, managers, vendors, and HR team members.

Responsibilities

• Assist with payroll processing for biweekly and off-cycle multi-state payroll using Paylocity.
• Serve as backup for employee questions related to timekeeping, attendance, and payroll.
• Enter and maintain payroll and personnel transactions (new hires, terminations, leaves, deductions, etc.).
• Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies.
• Administer garnishments, benefits deductions, PTO accruals, and related payroll items in Paylocity.
• Assist with multi-state tax withholding setup and payroll compliance.
