Job summary

COOK INLET TRIBAL COUNCIL, INC. seeks an HR Business Partner/Sr. HR Business Partner to align HR strategy with CITC's goals.

You will partner with business units, drive talent acquisition, employee relations, performance, and compliance, and support a high-performance culture grounded in core values. The role involves partnering across HR, advising on hiring, onboarding, policy interpretation, and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Three years of progressively responsible HR experience including ER, Recruiting, Benefits, and Training.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field; certifications preferred.
• fingerprint background check required for employment.

Responsibilities

• Advise business unit leaders on talent acquisition strategy and workforce planning.
• Partner with hiring managers on selection, screening, and referrals.
• Ensure hiring practices are compliant with policy and law.
• Collaborate on offer strategy, start dates, and terms, balancing fiscal stewardship with equity.
• Contribute to onboarding and connect new hires to CITC's mission.
• Develop and review job descriptions for accuracy and compliance.
• Coach supervisors through performance concerns with empathy and accountability.
• Provide HRIS troubleshooting and guidance; support HR audits and training.
