Kinsale Insurance, headquartered in Richmond, VA, is a leading excess and surplus (E&S) lines insurer. We are hiring a Human Resources Business Partner to serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees in our Underwriting divisions.

This role partners closely with management to drive employee engagement, performance, and talent while ensuring compliance with employment laws and alignment with business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of Human Resource Manager or HR Business Partner experience.
• Proven knowledge of employment law and regulatory compliance.
• Experience in benefits, compensation, and recruiting.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and influence managers and employees at various levels.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform HRBP duties for assigned Underwriting divisions with consultative support.
• Coach and advise managers on engagement, performance, compensation, and talent development.
• Partner with leaders to address employee relations issues, assess risk, and propose solutions.
• Support benefits, compensation, and recruiting activities across the business.
• Identify opportunities to enhance HR programs, policies, and practices.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
