Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner for Central Health Medical Center in Lewiston, Maine. The role focuses on employee relations, coaching department heads, and ensuring policy adherence within a regional healthcare system.

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in a related field, 2+ years in HR, knowledge of employment law, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, HR, or related field required.
• At least two years of HR experience with employee relations and investigations.
• Knowledge of state and federal employment law.
• Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office and HRIS.
• Must obtain sexual harassment certification within 6 months and maintain biennially.
• Ability to travel.
• HR professional certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to department heads and staff to resolve employee relations issues.
• Coach department heads on training, performance improvement, and terminations.
• Serve as SME on HR policies, procedures and programs.
• Conduct investigations into harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and confidentiality breaches.
• Perform special HR projects as assigned.
