Job summary

The Town of Collierville is seeking a Human Resources Manager to join our Human Resources team. You will oversee a wide range of HR programs and support the Town's employees and leadership.

This role supervises HR staff, handles performance evaluations, wage decisions, disciplinary actions, hiring and dismissals, and retirement benefits administration, including FMLA, leave programs, and compliance with HIPAA, COBRA, EEO, FMLA, ACA, and ADA requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Public Administration or related field.
• Seven years of experience in personnel work, with at least three in a supervisory role.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Certifications through PSHRA, SHRM or equivalent are highly desired but not required.
• Excellent computer skills using spreadsheets and word processing software; HRIS and database software experience.
• Applications accepted only if a post and period exist.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a wide range of HR programs and supervise HR personnel.
• Evaluate employee performance, recommend wage increases and disciplinary actions.
• Participate in hiring and dismissal decisions.
• Administer FMLA and other leave‑of‑absence programs, including eligibility determinations and documentation.
• Lead employee grievance processes and internal investigations.
• Interpret and apply laws affecting HR operations (HIPAA, COBRA, EEO, FMLA, ACA, ADA).
• Prepare personnel reports and HR forms, policies, and procedures.
