Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in HR, business, or public administration is required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5+ years progressive HR experience including relations, recruitment, onboarding, and compliance.
• Experience coordinating training programs and leadership development initiatives.
• Knowledge of HRIS systems and public sector employment practices.
• SHRM-CP or PHR preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR for the 51st Judicial District, overseeing recruitment, onboarding, and payroll coordination.
• Ensure compliance with ADA and all federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Develop and update job descriptions and HR policies; manage trainings and HRIS data.
• Serve as strategic advisor on hiring panels; handle background checks and certifications.
• Collaborate with County HR and AOPC; conduct investigations and advocate bias reduction.
