Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an HR Leader to manage full employment life cycle and supervise HR Generalists in the Detroit area. This position is 100% in-person and requires regular on-site attendance at the Detroit office, with travel 20-30%.

The role focuses on recruiting, employee relations, talent management, training, and benefits while aligning with corporate policies and local regulations. Strong business acumen and construction industry experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and minimum 7 years of progressive HR experience, plus 3 years supervisory/management experience.
• PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred, or related certification.
• Construction or large org experience is preferred.
• Strong understanding of business and construction operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage full employment life cycle: recruiting, employee relations, talent management, training, benefits.
• Supervise HR Generalists/Administrators across locations.
• Provide guidance on HR policies and regulatory compliance to management and employees.
• Drive regional HR goals and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Deliver an excellent employee experience and partner with BU leadership on people needs.
