Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College – Systems Office seeks an experienced HR leader to oversee the human resources function, including talent acquisition, employee relations, and performance management, within payroll and FERPA-compliant operations.

You will direct end-to-end hiring, maintain employee records in Workday, and support onboarding, development, and regulatory compliance. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; professional certification preferred.
• Three years’ work experience in a human resources department.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of principles and practices of HR administration.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and written/oral communication skills.
• Hands-on leadership to analyze, develop, and administer HR programs in a complex org.
• Ability to promote an inclusive environment representing diverse students and employees.
• Must be willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Oversees HR function alignment with College-wide policies and objectives.
• Directs end-to-end hiring process for Systems Office positions.
• Maintains employee records, including salary, classification, and benefits data, in Workday.
• Ensures accuracy of employee information in Workday.
• Leads onboarding and initial training for new staff.
• Supports managers with onboarding and training plans.
• Manages hiring/offboarding activities and analyzes engagement/exit data.
• Guides managers on performance, employee relations, and leave administration.
• Collaborates on leaves, benefits, and wellness programs with HR HUB partners.
• Supports professional development and training tracking.
• Ensures annual performance reviews and job description updates are completed.
• Advises supervisors on HR issues and regulatory matters.
• Represents Systems Office HR in unemployment and regulatory proceedings.
• Plans employee recognition and implements HR policies and procedures.
