Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager 3 to lead sector-level HR projects impacting thousands of engineers. The role spans talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, compensation, and leadership development across Linthicum, MD or McLean, VA.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate ethical leadership, strong communication, and the ability to navigate a complex matrix organization while delivering strategic HR initiatives and measurable results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 10+ years in HR or related field OR Master’s degree with 8+ years of experience
• Strong knowledge of employment law and HR policies/practices
• Excellent verbal and written communication, ability to influence others
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects to completion and manage multiple tasks

Responsibilities

• Lead HR strategy, programs and policies across client groups including talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations and retention initiatives
• Manage sector-level HR projects from inception through completion and coordinate with HRBL and project teams
• Advise leadership on talent acquisition, assessment, development, compensation, and organizational effectiveness
• Develop workforce planning, retention plans and leadership development strategies across the sector
