Job summary

Grace—a Standard Industries company—seeks an HR Director, Americas Manufacturing North to lead strategic HR across 7 manufacturing sites in the Americas and to support head-office functions. The role reports to the VP HR, Global Operations and is based in Curtis Bay, Maryland.

The incumbent will partner with site leaders, drive safety and culture initiatives, develop the regional HR team and manage workforce planning and labor relations to optimize talent and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• 12+ years of experience in Human Resources management, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
• 7+ years of experience in leading and guiding a team of HR professionals.
• Experience working in union environment with labor relations, contract administration and contract negotiations responsibilities.
• Demonstrated experience with driving employee engagement and positive employee relations with all levels of a manufacturing operation.
• Demonstrated track record in establishing and optimizing working relationships at all levels via excellent interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and lead changes that positively impact operational challenges and opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Partner with site/plant HR leaders to provide comprehensive HR support across manufacturing sites and drive key initiatives.
• Supports site safety programs and initiatives to ensure 'No One Hurt'.
• Develop HR team within the region to strengthen the talent bench.
• Lead workforce planning and staffing/talent acquisition to meet plant needs.
• Align with HR strategies and drive implementation.
• Coordinate with HR Centers of Excellence to deliver high-quality services.
• Promote initiatives to drive positive culture and employee relations.
• Plan for union contract negotiations and participate to achieve agreements.
• Guide grievance administration and arbitration preparation.
