Job summary

General Dynamics Land Systems seeks an HR professional to act as a strategic partner, guiding managers and facilitating policy implementation at a DoD facility. You will respond quickly to customer needs, manage disability and FMLA processes, payroll adjustments, uniforms, and HRIS data entry while maintaining equitable policy application.

The role requires a Bachelor's in HRM/Business, 1+ year in HR, US citizenship, strong communication skills, and the ability to work with a unionized workforce

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in HR
• Must be a US citizen and 18+
• Ability to obtain unescorted access to the facility via DoD vetting
• Strong written, verbal, and computer communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with a unionized workforce to support customer and manufacturing requirements
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and strong time-management skills
• Experience with unionized workforce preferred

Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders as a strategic HR consultant to help meet objectives
• Assess and respond to customer needs quickly
• Ensure equitable application of GDLS policies and CA terms
• Provide policy guidance to managers and employees
• Manage processes for Short Term Disability, FMLA, pay adjustments, uniforms, reports, pre-employment contingencies, HRIS data entry and other duties
