Job summary

General Dynamics Land Systems in Lima, Ohio seeks an HR Business Partner - Labor and Employee Relations to support a unionized, manufacturing environment. You will build strong relationships with business leaders and the UAW, coach on HR policies, and lead talent acquisition initiatives including military, technical schools, and intern programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resource management, business administration, or related field.
• 10+ years relevant experience.
• U.S. citizen and 18+ with ability to obtain facility access.
• Experience with unionized workforce preferred.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and union partners.
• Coach leaders on HR policies and processes.
• Lead talent acquisition and pipeline development including military, technical schools, and intern/co-op programs.
• Promote diversity and inclusion in talent attraction, development and retention.
• Conduct salary analysis for hires and internal movements.
• Interpret policies and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Support local UAW agreements, including negotiations, grievances, and contract interpretation.
• Provide support for local negotiations and labor relations activities.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with local union leadership to resolve shop floor and contract administration issues.
