Job summary

New York University Stern School of Business seeks an HR Generalist to shape an exceptional employee experience across the community. You will deliver comprehensive HR solutions from recruitment to compensation, employee relations and performance management, working on a collaborative team.

You will manage full-cycle recruitment for non-exempt and exempt roles, advise managers on performance and policy interpretation, and support school-wide talent programs and merit cycles.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of HR, recruiting or search experience.
  • Excellent judgment and discretion in handling sensitive information.
  • Excellent organizational, interviewing, problem-solving, project management, and multitasking skills.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing business needs; ability to communicate policies.
  • Knowledge of standard office software.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for non-exempt and exempt positions, up to mid-level management, with hiring managers on job descriptions, sourcing, interviewing and onboarding.
  • Advise managers and staff on employee relations, performance management and policy interpretation while ensuring compliance with laws, policies and collective agreements.
  • Collaborate with leadership and university partners to support school-wide talent programs including merit reviews and evaluation cycles.
  • Produce workforce metrics and reporting to support HR decisions and ad hoc projects.
