New York University Stern School of Business seeks an HR Generalist to shape an exceptional employee experience across the community. You will deliver comprehensive HR solutions from recruitment to compensation, employee relations and performance management, working on a collaborative team.

You will manage full-cycle recruitment for non-exempt and exempt roles, advise managers on performance and policy interpretation, and support school-wide talent programs and merit cycles.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of HR, recruiting or search experience.
  • Excellent judgment and discretion in handling sensitive information.
  • Excellent organizational, interviewing, problem-solving, project management, and multitasking skills.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing business needs; ability to communicate policies.
  • Knowledge of standard office software.

Position Summary:

NYUâs Stern School of Business has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Generalist to help shape an extraordinary employee experience across our community. The selected candidate will assist with the delivery of comprehensive HR solutionsâfrom full-cycle talent acquisition to compensation, employee relations and performance managementâthat directly enable Sternâs strategic priorities. Working on a collaborative team, the selected candidate will:

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for non-exempt and exempt positions, typically up to mid-level management, partnering with hiring managers on job descriptions, sourcing strategies, interview structures, candidate evaluations and onboarding.
  • Serve as an advisor to managers and staff on employee relations, performance management and policy interpretation while ensuring compliance with federal and state employment laws, University policies and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Collaborate with leadership and University partners to support school-wide talent programs, including the annual merit review, performance evaluation cycles, and employee recognition initiatives.
  • Produce workforce metrics and reporting to support strategic HR decisions and support ad hoc HR projects and initiatives.
Qualifications:

The selected candidate will have a bachelor's degree and at least three years of relevant human resources, recruiting or search experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Excellent judgment and discretion in handling sensitive information and issues is essential.
  • Excellent organizational, interviewing, problem-solving, project management skills, attention to detail and multitasking skills are required.
  • Flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing business needs, along with the ability to interpret and effectively communicate policies, is also essential.
  • Knowledge of standard office software is needed.
Additional Information:

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $82,800.00 to USD $101,200.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
