Job summary

Goodwill SOLAC is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to serve as a strategic partner across the employee lifecycle. You will support compliance with laws, drive employee engagement, and assist with HR operations, talent acquisition, and development in a fast-paced nonprofit setting.

The role reports to the Human Resources Manager and requires handling confidential records, audits, and employee relations with tact and professionalism.

Qualifications

• College degree or 4+ years HR experience.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Experience with HRIS and payroll software.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Experience in a multi-site organization with 500+ employees.
• PHR/SHRM certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the integrity, confidentiality, and security of all personnel records in line with policies and laws.
• Administer employee files and ensure retention standards and audit readiness.
• Process and maintain hires, promotions, transfers, status changes, and separations.
• Review HR documentation for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Support payroll administration and payroll compliance activities.
• Coordinate leaves of absence and assist with audits and regulatory reporting.
