Goodwill Houston is seeking an HR Generalist to manage day-to-day personnel, communications, and policy administration. You will support Team Members on HR topics and help resolve issues that arise.

The role involves enrollment coordination, offers/audits for FLSA, I-9 verification, background checks, HR data analysis, and policy updates. Strong communication and collaboration are essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field preferred.
• 1–2 years of HR experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the Team Member Enrollment process for hires within GTS and Staff positions.
• Audit offers of employment to ensure consistency and FLSA compliance.
• Audit completion of employer verification for I-9.
• Audit of pre-employment background checks.
• Gather and analyze HR metrics such as time to hire and turnover.
• Ensure legal compliance with HR state and federal regulations and update hiring policies as needed.
• Coordinate employee surveys and provide actionable insights to improve the employee experience.
• Provide HR-related support such as leaves and benefits questions.
• Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper forms.
• Conduct exit interviews and make actionable recommendations based on data.
• Arrange HR and HRIS training per department needs.
