Johnson Outdoors Inc. is seeking a Senior Director of Human Resources to lead centralized HR functions including compensation, benefits, HRIS/analytics and talent management. You will partner with executives to align workforce strategy with business goals and drive enterprise-wide initiatives.

The role requires strategic thinking, strong stakeholder engagement, and deep knowledge of HR compliance. Location at our Racine HQ with occasional travel to support enterprise initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources or equivalent.
• Typically requires 10+ years of leadership experience across multiple HR functions.
• Strong strategic thinking to align HR with business goals and drive performance.
• Experience advising executive leadership on workforce planning and HR policy.
• Proven ability to lead large-scale enterprise projects and change initiatives.
• Deep knowledge of HR functions and compliance; excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership across centralized HR functions including compensation, benefits, HRIS/analytics, and talent management.
• Advise executive leadership on workforce planning, organizational design and HR policy development.
• Oversee compensation and benefits programs, ensuring market competitiveness and regulatory compliance.
• Drive HR analytics, employee engagement, and performance management initiatives.
• Lead organizational design, succession planning and leadership development.
• Ensure enterprise-wide HR policies, governance and continuous improvement.
