Job summary

CapstoneONE Search is seeking a Human Resources Director for Grand Haven, MI, on-site. You will lead HR strategy across three manufacturing plants, oversee a 6-person HR team, and partner with executives to drive people initiatives that align with business goals.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in manufacturing HR with cross-location leadership, strong strategic communication, and a track record of building high-performing HR functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; advanced degree a plus.
• 8+ years of progressive HR experience within a manufacturing environment, including multi-site leadership.
• Proven experience managing and developing a team of HR professionals.
• Experience supporting a privately held or mid-cap organization preferred.
• Strong strategic, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Leads and directs the HR function across three manufacturing facilities, ensuring consistent policies, practices, and compliance.
• Manages a team of 6 direct reports, HR generalists, and/or HR business partners.
• Partners with plant and senior leadership to develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Leads employee relations, performance management, and organizational development initiatives across all sites.
• Drives compensation, benefits, and HR policy strategy in partnership with executive leadership.
• Leads change management, workforce planning, and succession planning efforts across the organization.
• Ensures compliance with employment law and regulatory requirements across all locations.
• Builds a strong HR team and develops talent within the function.
