Job summary

MJ Recruiters, LLC is seeking a Director of HR to provide strategic leadership across multiple sites. You will shape talent strategy, oversee HR operations, and partner with executive leadership to align people initiatives with business goals.

This role offers true hybrid flexibility (1–2 days remote weekly), a privacy-focused office, and a business-casual culture. You will lead employee relations, compliance, and workforce optimization while driving culture and organizational growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is highly preferred; an Associate’s degree is required.
• At least five years in a similar HR leadership role.
• Experience overseeing a team of HR professionals.
• Experience leading strategic HR initiatives.
• Experience with Workers’ Compensation.
• Experience leading employee relations and investigations.
• Experience overseeing benefits administration.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic vision and operational leadership to HR across multiple sites.
• Drive enterprise-wide alignment between HR and business goals.
• Coach executives and support leadership development.
• Manage leave programs (FMLA, ADA, Disability, USERRA) and ADA processes.
• Own HR policies and SOPs to mitigate risk and ensure data integrity.
• Lead employee relations and investigations with focus on equity.
• Develop performance management, engagement, and succession initiatives.
• Monitor regulatory labor changes and oversee workers’ compensation and unemployment risk.
• Design leadership training and capability-building initiatives.
• Leverage HR analytics to inform executive decisions.
• Drive change management and cross-functional projects centered on culture and retention.
