Job summary

Easton, Redding and Region 9 School Districts seeks an experienced Director of Human Resources to lead district HR operations and join the Superintendent's leadership team. This 12-month administrative role covers staffing, labor relations, benefits, and compliance.

The successful candidate will oversee recruitment, employee relations, payroll coordination, and HR information systems, ensuring accurate data, timely actions, and alignment with board policies and collective bargaining agreements.

Qualifications

• Connecticut Intermediate Administrator and Supervisor Certificate (092).
• Master's degree in educational leadership, administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
• Experience in educational leadership, supervision, personnel administration, or district-level administration.
• Knowledge of employment laws, personnel practices, employee supervision, and Human Resources administration.
• Strong organizational, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage confidential and sensitive personnel matters with discretion and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Lead district-wide recruitment, hiring, onboarding, retention, and personnel administration for staff.
• Collaborate with administrators to identify staffing needs supporting programs.
• Maintain accurate information regarding employee positions, assignments, FTE, employment status, certification, and other personnel matters.
• Advise the Superintendent and administrators regarding personnel practices, employee performance, staffing, and organizational needs.
• Oversee compliance with state and federal employment laws, board policies, and bargaining agreements.
