Job summary

Vitaline Clinical Hydration Solutions in Lincolnwood, IL seeks an experienced Director of Human Resources to lead HR strategy and day-to-day operations across a multi-state organization. You will partner with executives on employee relations, workforce planning, and people decisions while building scalable HR processes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive HR experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Experience managing employee relations, investigations, performance management and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
• Experience supporting a multi-state or multi-location workforce.
• Broad HR experience across recruiting, compensation, benefits, leave administration, HR operations, and performance management.
• Experience building or improving HR processes, policies, systems, and organizational infrastructure.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills with the ability to develop managers and HR team members.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to operate strategically while remaining hands-on with HR responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR strategy and day-to-day function across a multi-state workforce.
• Serve as trusted advisor to executive leadership and managers on employee relations, workforce planning, organizational structure, and people-related decisions.
• Manage complex employee relations matters, investigations, corrective action, and performance concerns while ensuring policy consistency.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and proactively identify risks.
• Oversee recruiting and workforce planning for clinical, corporate, operational, and leadership roles.
• Lead performance management process, reviews, development, and succession planning.
• Oversee compensation and benefits programs and partner on salary reviews, promotions, and bonuses.
• Provide oversight of leave administration, accommodations, workers' compensation, and return-to-work processes.
• Partner with payroll providers, brokers, retirement plan vendors, legal counsel, and other HR partners.
• Develop and improve HR policies, onboarding/offboarding, documentation, and internal workflows.
• Evaluate and optimize HRIS, payroll, recruiting, performance management, and other HR systems.
• Establish meaningful HR reporting and metrics (headcount, turnover, recruitment activity, retention, performance reviews).
• Collaborate on employee engagement, culture, and internal communications initiatives.
• Build scalable HR programs and processes to grow with Vitaline.
