Job summary

Activ8 Recruitment & Solutions is seeking a Human Resource Director to oversee all HR functions for an international automotive component manufacturer in Indiana. The role leads compensation, benefits, payroll, recruiting, employee relations, training, safety, and workers’ compensation.

Responsibilities include developing HR policies, managing safety programs, ensuring OSHA compliance, and driving HR initiatives across the organization while aligning with ERISA, IRS and DOL requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
• 8+ years of HR management experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all HR functions including compensation, benefits, payroll, recruiting, employee relations, training, safety, and workers’ compensation.
• Develop and implement HR policies, programs, and procedures to support company goals.
• Oversee employee compensation and benefits programs including salary reviews, incentives, health insurance, and retirement plans.
• Manage workplace safety programs and ensure compliance with OSHA and other applicable regulations.
• Oversee employee training and development programs and identify training needs.
• Monitor HR performance and develop strategies to improve HR processes and services.
• Manage HR-related projects and initiatives from planning through implementation.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations including ERISA, IRS, and DOL requirements.
• Manage company insurance programs including workers’ compensation, general liability, property, auto, and other business insurance.
• Work with management, employees, and outside professionals on HR, legal, immigration, and other employment-related matters.
