Job summary

FPC is seeking an HR Director for a manufacturing organization in Indiana with 1000+ employees. You will lead a team of HR generalists, shape workforce strategy, and align HR initiatives with production needs.

The role demands automotive/high-volume manufacturing experience, a proven HR strategist, and hands-on leadership to drive retention, development and organizational performance on-site in Indiana.

Qualifications

• Must have HR leadership at a Manager level experience in automotive or comparable high-volume manufacturing
• Experience leading a broad HR function including employee relations, recruiting, compensation, benefits, payroll and compliance
• Track record of implementing HR strategies with measurable improvements in retention, staffing, leadership capability or organizational performance
• Experience translating business and production plans into workforce requirements, budgets and hiring/development priorities
• Experience building succession plans and leadership development programs for internal candidates
• Experience advising senior operating leaders on organizational structure and workforce initiatives
• Ability and willingness to work on-site in Indiana

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute an HR strategy aligned to business plans, production requirements and workforce changes
• Lead and develop a team of HR professionals (10) with clear responsibilities, priorities and performance expectations
• Build workforce plans addressing staffing levels, critical skills, labor availability and future operating needs
• Lead retention initiatives based on turnover, feedback and differences across departments and shifts
• Partner with senior leaders to improve organizational efficiency and productivity
• Assess compensation, benefits and employee programs; coordinate renewals with brokers
• Establish consistent HR policies and daily execution by the HR team
• Measure initiative results and adjust plans accordingly
• Collaborate with Corporate Legal Counsel on critical HR matters
