Job summary

Big Bend Region, Inc. is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner in Tallahassee, FL to administer and coordinate all HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits, staff development, and compliance.

The HRBP will work closely with leadership to support organizational goals, foster a positive workplace culture, and ensure consistent application of HR policies and employment practices, including confidentiality and data accuracy.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of progressive HR experience including recruiting, benefits administration, compliance, and performance management.
• Payroll processing and data management experience preferred.
• PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred and may be considered in lieu of equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily administration and delivery of human resources functions.
• Maintain HR policies, employee records, organizational charts, job descriptions, and personnel files.
• Lead recruitment, selection, and onboarding activities for all positions.
• Partner with managers to identify staffing needs and coordinate hiring processes.
• Develop strategies to support recruitment, retention, and workforce sustainability.
• Coordinate employee orientation and onboarding experiences.
• Provide guidance on workplace concerns, policy interpretation, performance expectations, and conflict resolution.
• Conduct and document workplace investigations assigned.
• Coordinate benefits enrollment, changes, communications, and vendor relationships.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and organizational requirements.
• Maintain and update employee handbook provisions and HR procedures.
• Prepare reports for leadership and participate in outreach activities.
