Job summary

University of Missouri-Kansas City is seeking an HR Business Partner to support senior leaders, managers, and staff. You will provide strategic, data-driven HR guidance as an interface between Colleges, Schools, Divisions and the Office of Human Resources.

You will lead workforce planning, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and compensation initiatives while promoting a welcoming, inclusive culture. Collaboration and confidentiality are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 3 years of HR experience.
• 5+ years of HR generalist or strategic partner experience is preferred.
• HR Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understands goals, objectives, and priorities of assigned College/School/Division and aligns HR support with business goals.
• Uses data to identify areas for improvement and drive progress.
• Supports workforce planning and design in coordination with leadership; assists hiring needs and collaborates with recruiters.
• Drives onboarding experiences and oversees performance review processes.
• Advises on employee relations, coaching, and discipline; helps with change management and organizational effectiveness.
• Ensures compliance with HR policies, laws, and regulations; supports risk mitigation.
• Collaborates with HR team and CSDs to promote employee engagement and a positive work environment.
• Participates in job audits and compensation analysis as needed.
