Job summary

University of Missouri-Columbia is seeking a Human Resources Consultant in the Dean of College of Business to support employee lifecycle processes and HR transactions. The role focuses on employee relations, performance management, recruitment, and compensation discussions within the college.

You will advise leaders, coordinate onboarding, conduct training, and collaborate with COEs to ensure compliant HR practices and strategic talent management in a university setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in higher education HR is preferred.
• Strong customer service mindset and ability to build trusted relationships.

Responsibilities

• Support employee lifecycle processes including hiring, onboarding, transfers, promotions, leaves, and separations.
• Coordinate and process HR transactions and prepare employment documentation.
• Maintain HR records per university policies.
• Counsel leaders on performance, compliance and policy matters.
• Advise on corrective actions and risk assessment.
• Assist with conflict resolution and investigations.
• Oversee annual performance reviews and training to strengthen competencies.
• Partner with COEs to monitor workforce trends.
