Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure is seeking an Area HR Manager (Construction) to lead HR strategy across Kalamazoo, MI, Elgin, IL, Romeoville, IL, and Lombard, IL. You will partner with plant leaders and drive engagement, talent development, and performance management in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strategic HR leadership, ability to coach leaders, and experience in compensation planning, with travel approximately 40% across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in HRM, Business, or related field.
• 3+ years in HR Business Partner or management role.
• Spanish language ability preferred.
• Results oriented with fact-based decision making.
• Coach and develop others; effective communicator.
• Strong project management and business acumen.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work in ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR strategies and projects aligned to business imperatives.
• Ensure 100% compliance through policies and best practices.
• Influence and communicate with all levels of the organization.
• Coach Area General Managers and Front-Line Leaders.
• Ensure employee relations issues are identified, reported, investigated and resolved.
• Promote a positive work culture by driving team engagement.
• Lead compensation, merit and bonus planning processes.
• Facilitate talent reviews and performance processes using modern tools.
• Collaborate with Union leadership where applicable.
