Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is seeking an Accounting Manager for Housing & Real Estate in New York. This role partners with executive leadership to oversee accounting, reporting, and compliance across a diverse housing portfolio.

You will lead real estate transactions, refinancings, and asset optimization projects while guiding budgeting, forecasting, and portfolio performance. Strong GAAP, multi-entity accounting, and nonprofit real estate experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Progressive accounting experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Strong background in multi-entity accounting, consolidations, GAAP reporting.
• Experience with affordable housing, LIHTC, LPs/LLCs, or nonprofit real estate preferred.
• Experience managing regulatory compliance and external reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting, financial reporting across multiple real estate and housing entities.
• Manage audits, tax filings, lender reporting, and regulatory compliance.
• Support financial analysis related to development projects, acquisitions, refinancing, and portfolio investments.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, reserve monitoring, and portfolio performance reporting.
• Serve as primary financial contact for third‑party property management and external stakeholders.
• Supervise finance staff while implementing process improvements and strengthening internal controls.
