Job summary

Chris Baily seeks an Accounting Manager, Housing & Real Estate to partner with executive leadership and oversee a diverse real estate portfolio. You will influence capital planning and portfolio strategy, reporting to senior leaders and collaborating with lenders, auditors, and management partners.

You will lead the finance team, strengthen internal controls, and drive improvements in financial reporting and processes across multiple entities, including affordable housing structures.

Qualifications

Accounting Manager, Housing & Real Estate

Salary: $110,000 - $125,000

Key Responsibilities for the Accounting Manager, Housing & Real Estate:

• Oversee accounting, financial reporting, consolidations, and compliance across multiple real estate and housing entities
• Manage audits, tax filings, lender reporting, and regulatory compliance requirements
• Support financial analysis related to development projects, acquisitions, refinancing, and portfolio investments
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, reserve monitoring, and portfolio performance reportingServe as the primary financial contact for third-party property management companies and external stakeholders
• Supervise finance staff while implementing process improvements and strengthening internal controls

Qualifications for the Accounting Manager, Housing & Real Estate:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Progressive accounting or finance experience with prior leadership responsibilities
• Strong background in multi-entity accounting, consolidations, financial reporting, audits, and GAAP compliance
• Experience with affordable housing, LIHTC, LPs, LLCs, joint ventures, or nonprofit real estate organizations highly preferred
• Proven experience managing regulatory compliance and external reporting requirements
