Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Supply Chain Operations Manager to oversee the hospital's supply room, receiving, and distribution activities. You will establish par levels, maintain Lawson MMIS data, and ensure accurate inventory across locations.

The role includes training staff and monitoring performance. You will collaborate with Nursing and other departments to ensure supply availability and prompt service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and some college coursework or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of supervisor experience preferred.
• Experience in the healthcare industry is preferred.
• Familiarity with Lawson Materials Management System is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage supply room operations, space planning, bin naming, and Lawson item detail maintenance.
• Supervise Receiving and Distribution staff and couriers; monitor processes for efficiency.
• Set par levels and reorder quantities to balance turnover and stockouts.
• Ensure integrity of Lawson inventory data and conduct periodic cycle counts and annual inventory.
• Train staff on Lawson applications and receiving/distribution processes; report performance.
• Monitor inventory metrics (turnover, stockouts, days on hand) and adjust as needed.
• Coordinate with Corporate Supply Chain on purchasing and contract compliance.
• Provide excellent customer service to nursing and other departments for supply needs.
