Job summary

Shriners Children's in the United States is seeking a Corporate Supply Chain Procurement Agent who will handle complete and accurate procurement of stock and non-stock items, ensure pricing, incentives, and ROI are optimized, and collaborate with Contracting and Legal teams.

The role supports capital management, Value Analysis, EVAC, and uses our GPO to drive contract compliance, cost reductions, and end-to-end value across the enterprise; strong data integrity and vendor relations are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires 5 years of hospital supply chain experience.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.
• Knowledge of purchasing, inventory, contracting, logistics, A/P, and value analysis.
• Familiar with hospital equipment and supplies purchasing.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles.
• High school diploma or GED; associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct purchasing of hospital supplies; coordinate with vendors and departments; ensure timely processing.
• Own customer needs and balance service, outcome, and cost.
• Work with minimal supervision under Supply Chain leadership.
• Lead vendor negotiations for competitive pricing and contract compliance.
• Identify and address price discrepancies and backorders.
• Execute emergency purchase orders for time-sensitive patient needs.
