Qualifications

• 5 years of hospital supply chain experience.
• MS Office Suite proficiency.
• Knowledge of purchasing, inventory management, contracting, logistics, A/P Finance, and value analysis.
• Knowledge of hospital equipment and supplies and purchasing practices.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
• High School Diploma/GED.
• Associate's Degree or sufficient job-related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Independently directs the purchasing of all hospital supplies and communicates pricing, availability, and delivery with vendors and hospital departments.
• Coordinates repairs, returns, and cancellations; ensures requests are processed within 24 hours.
• Leads negotiations with vendors to secure competitive pricing and enforce contracts.
• Analyzes item add requests and investigates issues, presenting findings to management.
• Maintains professional vendor relationships on sourcing, pricing, and contracts.
• Supports system/process improvements to enhance procurement value and customer satisfaction.
• Resolves discrepancies between vendor prices and SHC price records and backorder quantities.
• Executes emergency purchase orders as time-sensitive patient needs dictate.
