Job summary

Guidehouse Inc. is seeking a Business Analyst to support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in Washington, DC. You will work with DHS leadership to align strategy, analyze processes, and develop policies and reports across multiple areas.

Responsibilities include documenting requirements, creating process maps, and delivering data-driven insights for decision-making. You will gather business requirements, engage stakeholders, and support modernization efforts while ensuring timely

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing materials for senior-level audiences.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business processes, workflows, and organizational operations to identify opportunities for increased efficiency, improved performance, and enhanced mission delivery.
• Gather, document, and validate business requirements through stakeholder engagement, interviews, workshops, and analysis of current-state processes.
• Develop process maps, workflow diagrams, SOPs, user guides, and recommendations to support operational improvements and modernization efforts.
• Collect, analyze, and synthesize data to develop actionable insights, performance metrics, dashboards, and executive reporting products.
• Conduct research and analysis on policy, operational, organizational, and strategic issues to support leadership decision-making.
• Draft policy memoranda, executive correspondence, briefing materials, reports, and other written products for senior DHS leadership.
• Support the development and implementation of policies, initiatives, and strategic priorities across DHS offices and stakeholders.
• Track policy actions, executive taskings, and organizational initiatives to ensure timely coordination and completion.
• Assist with the evaluation and implementation of automation and workflow solutions to improve operational effectiveness and reporting.
• Coordinate across DHS components and stakeholder groups to facilitate collaboration and drive execution of key initiatives.
