Job summary

Iowa Select Farms in Iowa is seeking a Marketing Specialist to own site-level hog marketing workflows, optimize market weights, and maximize value to our packer network. You will forecast hog readiness, coordinate with barn teams and transportation, and implement strategic marketing plans across sites.

This on-site, full-time role requires bilingual communication and experience in swine operations. The position offers growth within a standards-driven company and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Experience in swine production operations desired.
• Proficient computer skills including Excel and email.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine site visits to ensure marketing previews and loading accuracy meet ISF standards.
• Develop and implement strategies to achieve marketing, revenue, and cost KPI targets.
• Coordinate cross-functional communications on issues needing other teams.
• Forecast, select and mark hogs for market.
• Ensure site managers have supplies and facilities to load market hogs on schedule.
• Partner with Transportation to reschedule loads to maximize weights and meet targets.
• Adjust marketing dates through site visits and weighing of pigs.
• Reduce sort loss and maximize value of market hogs to packing plants.
• Develop and implement site marketing plans; train supervisors and contractors.
• Monitor pig health and coordinate with Staff Veterinarian and Senior Finishing Supervisor.
• Promote safe animal handling practices.
• Adhere to company vehicle guidelines and assist with supply pickups.
