Job summary

Seaboard Foods is seeking a Farm Operations Manager in Iowa to lead daily swine farm operations and ensure production targets are achieved. The role includes supervising farm managers, coordinating between operations and farm teams, and data interpretation to resolve issues.

You will audit weekly for SOP compliance, advise on production and cost targets, and manage employee schedules and records. Strong English communication and gestation-to-farrowing experience are required.

Qualifications

• Three years of swine production experience.
• At least one year overseeing daily swine operations.
• Experience following detailed SOPs.
• Experience managing four or more animal caretakers on sow farms.
• Experience in gestation through farrowing; training in vaccination and AI in swine.
• Ability to read and interpret safety files, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Good written and oral communication skills in English.
• Regularly lift/move up to 50 lb; occasionally up to 100 lb; sometimes push/move up to 300 lb.
• Local travel required 2-3 times a week.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the farms to meet production targets.
• Supervise and develop farm managers for responsible sites.
• Link between operations managers and farm managers; interpret data and resolve issues.
• Audit farms weekly for SOP compliance and proper maintenance.
• Advise on meeting production and cost targets; submit production reports promptly.
• Create and manage employee schedules; maintain personnel records and reviews.
• No hire/fire authority.
