The American Heart Association, Inc. is hiring a Development Director – Heart Challenge in Oklahoma City, covering Oklahoma City and Southeast Oklahoma. The role focuses on expanding Heart Walk, CycleNation, and Field Day campaigns through corporate sponsorships and participant income, with a hybrid office-based schedule.

You will develop sponsorship proposals, manage relationships with partners, and lead volunteer engagement to drive revenue in support of the mission.

Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant experience in fundraising, sales, or related fields.
• University/College degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to travel daily locally up to 75% and occasional overnight trips; reliable transportation.
• Basic knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Generate revenue by prospecting and securing local corporate sponsorships and donations.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective sponsors and donors.
• Develop and present proposals and materials to secure revenue and volunteer engagement.
• Recruit executive volunteers and day-of-event volunteers for campaigns.
• Lead corporate team participation in Heart Walk and motivate fundraising.
• Plan and implement events in collaboration with partners.
