McGuireWoods LLP is seeking a Business Development Manager in New York to lead strategy and execution for Healthcare and Life Sciences practices. You will collaborate with lawyers to target clients, craft market messaging and coordinate across offices to unlock revenue opportunities.

The role supports a hybrid work model and emphasizes leadership, client development, and the use of innovative AI tools to improve efficiency and impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of five years of business development and/or marketing experience within a law firm or comparable professional services organization
• Strong project management skills including conferences and events
• Strategic thinker with branding and consistent messaging across channels
• Self-starter who balances long-term strategy with day-to-day execution
• Experience or interest in AI tools (e.g., Harvey, Copilot) to enhance impact

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with attorneys in assigned practice groups to develop business plans, marketing strategies and drive client targeting
• Provide strategy for and drive business development activities surrounding: business plans, practice initiatives, conferences, webinars, client relationships, RFP responses, and marketing collateral
• Develop and maintain marketing materials, bios and examples of representative experience
• Budget planning and forecasting; manage multiple projects across departments and geographies
• Mentor and lead junior colleagues to strengthen the team and capabilities
