Job summary

Mosaic Life Care in Missouri seeks a Compliance Consultant to oversee and coordinate compliance processes, policies, and training across the organization.

Under supervision of the Director of Compliance, you will design risk assessments, perform audits, and lead investigations with Health Information Services and Enrollment. This role requires a Bachelor's degree and healthcare coding/billing experience; travel to off-site locations is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 5 years of coding/billing experience in health care.
• Experience performing physician coding audits or working with physicians to correct coding and documentation issues.
• Professional certifications (CPC, CCS-P, RHIT, RHIA) preferred within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Review policies to ensure compliance with legal, accreditation, and internal standards.
• Develop educational materials on federal guidelines and investigations.
• Design and execute risk assessments and monitoring plans.
• Manage investigations related to RAC, MAC, Z-PIC or MIC and coordinate remediation.
• Investigate caregiver questions/concerns and provide remediation recommendations.
• Conduct compliance audits and present results to leadership.
• Travel to off-site locations may be required.
• Perform administrative duties with discretion.
