Job summary

FedEx Freight seeks a strategic planning professional to develop and implement the organization’s long-term plans, ensuring alignment with business goals. The role involves coordinating input from major business units and translating concepts into actionable strategies for senior leadership.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in IT or a business environment, with strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree/equivalent in computer science, engineering, information systems, or business administration or related field.
  • Five (5) years of experience in information technology or a business environment.
  • Knowledge of project management, quantitative analysis, forecasting, process improvement, or market/competitive analysis, preferred.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, analytical and critical thinking ability with time management and management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop concepts into strategies including quantitative analyses and recommendations; screen plan for strategic fit, feasibility and profitability prior to presentation to senior management.
  • Coordinate input from all major business units to facilitate the integration of individual business unit plans, best practices, and global and multi-discipline perspectives.
  • Identify, research, analyze, and make recommendations to support the organization's growth objectives.
  • Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
