Job summary

Optikos is seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to lead strategic growth initiatives and expand our presence in existing and emerging markets. You will identify new business opportunities, develop strategic partnerships, and drive revenue growth while collaborating closely with Engineering, Sales, and Marketing.

You will serve as a trusted advisor to prospective customers, helping them identify technical solutions that align with their business objectives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, applied science, photonics or optics or related field.
Minimum of five years in business development, technical sales or account management.
Demonstrated ability to identify, develop and close complex opportunities including contract strategy and negotiations.
Experience selling technical products, engineering solutions, or capital equipment is preferred.
Willingness to travel roughly 30–50% for customer visits, trade shows and conferences.

Responsibilities

Identify, research, and pursue new customers, markets, partnerships and opportunities to drive revenue growth.
Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities via prospecting, referrals, events, and relationships.
Develop and execute strategies to expand existing markets and penetrate new industries.
Lead partnerships and evaluate opportunities aligned with Optikos' objectives.
Coordinate with Account Management and Engineering to tailor solutions for accounts.
Develop business cases evaluating opportunities, ROI and risks for leadership review.
Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasts, and sales activity in the CRM system.
Represent Optikos at trade shows and events to maximize ROI.
