Job summary

Teradyne, a global leader in automated test equipment, seeks a Senior Director of Strategic Planning & Corporate Development to shape strategy and oversee mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions for our Semi and Product businesses. This senior individual-contributor role reports to the executive team and involves domestic and international travel.

The function is increasingly onsite, with four days in the office each week.

Qualifications

10+ years in strategic planning and corporate development.
Experience in technology, semiconductor, or engineering environments.
Prior top-tier management consulting or investment banking experience is required.
Demonstrated ability to drive execution in ambiguous, fast-moving environments with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Contribute to the enterprise strategy refresh, framing questions, driving analysis, and delivering clear recommendations.
Partner with business units and Finance to build and maintain the market fact base.
Develop an independent competitive point of view on primary and emerging competitors.
Work with unit leaders to develop and pressure-test growth strategy and synthesize into an enterprise view.
Own the strategic and commercial content of assigned transactions from thesis to terms.
Prepare executive-ready updates on strategy and transaction rationale, documenting key assumptions and decisions.
Leverage AI-enabled tools to enhance strategy and corporate development work.
