Job summary

NASCAR in Charlotte, NC seeks a Senior Business Manager for the Whelen Modified Tour to shape long-term growth, drive strategy, and coordinate cross-functional teams across the organization.

You will build partnerships with teams, drivers, manufacturers, tracks, and industry stakeholders, while using data-driven insights to advance sustainability and participation for one of NASCAR’s historic touring series.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of related professional experience.
• Proven strategic leadership with commercial acumen.
• Ability to build and manage relationships across diverse stakeholders.
• Experience influencing cross-functional teams and driving alignment.
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to leverage data and insights to make informed decisions.
• Experience in change management and driving strategic initiatives.
• Knowledge of sports and entertainment industry operations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Own the overall business performance, growth strategy, and long-term vision for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour.
• Develop strategic initiatives to increase value, relevance, and sustainability of the Tour.
• Set annual and multi-year objectives aligned with NASCAR priorities.
• Serve as primary business-facing contact for teams, drivers, manufacturers, tracks, and stakeholders.
• Build trusted relationships across the garage and maintain consistent communication frameworks.
• Gather stakeholder feedback and ensure industry perspectives are represented in NASCAR decisions.
• Coordinate across NASCAR departments to align Tour priorities organization-wide.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen participation, event value, and sponsorship activation.
• Partner with NASCAR commercial teams to maximize value for Tour stakeholders.
• Monitor industry trends and recommend investments strengthening the Tour ecosystem.
• Establish and track KPIs for participation, sponsorship trends, audience growth, and fan engagement.
• Lead industry engagement meetings and translate NASCAR strategies into practical Tour implications.
